New picturebook illustration.




With or without the blur on the truck?

This one had a very smooth work process. Lots of details so click it. I will probably mess with some of the values surrounding the main characters but otherwise it's finished. The red truck in the foreground creates room for text.

i'd say with for the depth it creates, but without for consistency.

without.. but maybe a few subtle speed lines can help? if it is a question of creating depth, I guess making the truck somewhat darker would help.

OK without. I've tried some methods of implying the truck is in full motion but I haven't really found one that works. I'll mess with value though. See where that gets me.

if the truck has blur, everything moving should have blur, kind of strange to have a blurry truck and a razor sharp jumping kid... no?
